Our PhilosophyWe, at St. Norbert School, believe in Catholic Education which fosters a Christian attitude in developing the whole child. We believe each child can be nurtured to reach his/her and become a well-rounded individual prepared for the future. We view the parent as the primary educator who models and shares his/her faith with his/her children. A partnership is formed with the school through cooperation, consistency and support. We believe in providing opportunities which emphasize Catholic values and traditions, participation and responsibility in religious services, a reverence for prayer and scripture, a global awareness, and respect for and service to others. We believe that the students and teachers work cooperatively within educational and multi-cultural programs. We believe in a curriculum designed to provide opportunities for the different learning styles of all our students. We believe in a curriculum in which academic and life skills are mastered and integrated with logical progression. Technology and hands-on activities enhance and challenge our students. Extracurricular activities are provided to complement our programs. We believe the teacher to be the role model and facilitator at school who provides a variety of experiences to stimulate and to encourage creativity so each child can achieve his/her own personal goals and develop a love for life-long learning. We believe the students, aware of their own unique gifts, will take responsibility and be prepared to meet the challenges of the future. St. Norbert School is a home for the Mind, the Heart, and the Soul where learning is an exciting adventure that occurs in a safe and respectful community.
