when I think about my time st. Norbert school and what the education did for me I can't help but feel blessed Saint already gave me the two of us with skills and the community of supporters that I needed to succeed I graduated from Saint Norbert in 2011 change route on little academy and graduated in 2015 this past may I graduated from Marquette University with a double major in nursing and Spanish for the Health Professions now I'm a registered nurse in the neonatal ICU at Northwestern Memorial High prepared me for this moment stems back to my grade school years the academic challenge me intellectually and it's graded I was a student council president which allowed me to find my voice I was able to learn confidence that I use with me through high school college and for the rest of my life for the feedback that I get from administrators to school and it's not simply the academics it's just who they are as people their Athletics I learned sportsmanship and teamwork with a no-cut policy students can choose from 9 different sports ranging from volleyball to cheerleading football to golf will it really impacted me are the values I learn last year I had a student who was struggling with his reading comprehension and it was towards the end of the year and I asked a question about the noun. And no one raises hand except this one student I'll give you the answer and holdfasts just showed up and started applauding him which was afraid they all just respected his journey we're being kind to your teachers or teachers giving us the best chance to succeed we're trying to pass forward a little bit of kind of even if it's a smile or I got or something small like that being nice and no one else is watching sticks up there's no reward Services getting back into his being there for me dirty neighbors strangers experience is a lot of weight Charities rides different kinds of only providing service to more than just doing things I called sweet Brothers great job of concealing that young people I think of a first grader is first grade sister approaching me about a service project that they would like to get started to help a family that they have did they know it was coming down hard times financially I think of excellence in the volunteer spend countless hours before during and after our community events I think of Excellence here being are gifted priests tape is really about a relationship to respond to God gives us life it was lovely gets us to get the paint and we seek to live it out for success for our kids love and particularly the love that God has for each one of us has such a critical just to our General Pershing that's what I would start I couldn't be more excited for the next generation of st. Norbert Crusaders to learn and grow into leaders of tomorrow to learn respect Integrity service and Excellence to build their face.
