Develop a love for learning and readiness for Kindergarten

Our preschool program builds a strong foundation for school readiness through a balanced approach to early academics and purposeful play. Children develop essential skills in early literacy, mathematics, and scientific thinking while strengthening fine motor abilities, problem-solving, and social confidence. Through hands-on learning, structured routines, and individualized support, we help each child grow in independence, curiosity, and readiness for a successful transition to kindergarten.

-ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS-

Preschool students participate in American Sign Language, music, and physical education, giving them a well-rounded learning experience. These enrichment opportunities expose children to a variety of subjects while supporting growth across multiple developmental and academic areas, all guided by specialized teachers.

The preschool program at St. Norbert School welcomes all three- and four-year-olds and offers both full-day and half-day program options to fit your family’s needs.

Our play-based curriculum encourages children to learn through hands-on experiences, blending guided instruction with creative exploration. Through engaging activities, students are inspired to explore, imagine, and discover as they begin to make sense of the world around them in a safe and nurturing environment.

As a result, children develop important social skills, learn to cooperate with others, and build a strong foundation of confidence, healthy self-concepts, and self-esteem.

Each preschooler is paired with a middle school student through our Buddy System. Buddies serve as mentors, accompany younger students to school Masses, and offer a friendly, familiar face throughout the day—whether in the halls or during playtime.

This meaningful connection provides preschoolers with positive role models while helping older students develop responsibility and leadership skills. The Buddy System also strengthens our nurturing environment, fosters friendships, and supports the sense of community that defines our school.
