My name is Kasia Ryt, and I have been teaching at St. Norbert since the spring of 2020. I graduated from Dominican University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, as well as Bilingual and English as a Second Language Endorsements. I am currently pursing my Masters in Reading Education. In my free-time I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

My kindergarten classroom is designed to allow every child to explore their God given talents. I believe students need to feel loved, supported, and safe in their environment before learning can happen. During the first few days we really focus on getting to know one another and the new space we will be learning in. Throughout the year students gain the confidence to take ownership of their work in and out of the classroom.

I believe the connection between home and school is extremely important. I encourage my students to talk about their day with their families. I use Seesaw to post pictures of all our adventures and create individual portfolios for students to take home at the end of the year. Each week there is a newsletter in your child’s folder telling you all about what we are learning and fun events for the month. We love having people who are special to your child come read us stories, participate in school wide events, join us for school-wide mass, and occasionally join us for fun activities in the classroom.
