The kids have a three-day weekend. The teachers don't. In my bitterness, I've assigned the following homework:
6th grade SS: worksheet for the video, due Monday. PLUS there is a study guide that should be filled out. It is NOT homework, but filling it out will help you prepare for the TEST ON AFRICA ON TUESDAY.
6th grade LA: pg. 347 exercises 9 & 10 in the Grammar book PLUS the first four chapters of The Chocolate War (to page 29) PLUS the rest of the short story "Lather and Nothing Else" ending on pg. 496 of the Literature book.

6th LA - Worksheet on "A Day's Rest" and vocab quiz #4 tomorrow.
6th SS - Complete North Africa map.
Everybody else is free to watch the Bears lose.
The Bears aren't scheduled to lose until Monday night, so I assigned homework for the weekend.
8th grade SS - read pgs. 524-532; questions 1, 2, 3, and 5 on pg. 532.
6th grade SS - read pgs. 544-549; questions 1-7 on pg. 549
6th grade LA - In the "grammar book", pg. 329 exercises 23 and 24 AND in the Lit book, read "A Day's Wait" on pgs. 72-75
7th Grade SS quiz on Thursday
All of the PowerPoints comprising Thursday's open notes (on paper only) quiz are now uploaded. Gather your friends and family, make some popcorn, and re-live the magic that are the Preamble and Article 1 of the Constitution.
Don't let the missing numbers from the titles fool you....everything is there.
Everybody Freak Out! Homework - 9/6/18
The only homework assigned today is for 6th grade LA, and it is two-fold:
1. pg. 319 in the Writing Book, exercises 3, 4, and 5. (Working with action verbs, recognizing transitive and intransitive verbs.)
2. bring in a new book for independent reading and Friday free read. It must be of at least grade level ability and I must approve it.
Homework for the Homies - August 31st, 2018
6th Grade SS and 8th Grade Religion from yesterday's post are still valid and due Tuesday. In addition, here is what's new:
7th Grade SS - Read pgs. 21-29 and answer questions 1, 2, 3, & 5 for Tuesday, 9/4. (Question 4 is dumb.)
6th Grade SS - Read pg. 518-523 (the final chapter on West Africa) and answer questions 1-6 on pg. 523. Due Tuesday 9/4
6th Language Arts - In the "Writing" textbook...answer exercises 25, 26, 31 & 34 on pgs. 310-311. Due Tuesday 9/4
